I’m Wesley Farnsworth, a storyteller at heart.
Wesley Farnsworth is a Christian speaker, author, podcast host, nonprofit founder, communications professional, and U.S. Air Force veteran whose work centers on faith-based transformation, recovery, leadership, and storytelling. He is the author of The Blueprint of Becoming: A Practical Guide to Faith, Failure, and Finding Your Way Forward and the host of the podcast Unmasked with Wesley Farnsworth, where he leads honest conversations about identity, calling, purpose, and the redemptive work of God in the lives of ordinary people. In December of 2025, Unmasked with Wesley Farnsworth, ranked in the Top 5 Religion & Spirituality podcasts on Goodpods.
Wesley is also the founder of Service Ministries, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping churches, ministries, and Christian-owned small businesses improve their communication, branding, digital presence, and storytelling so they can more effectively advance their mission.
Before stepping into the world of authorship and ministry leadership, Wesley spent fifteen years in the U.S. Air Force as a professional photographer and Public Affairs Specialist. During his military career, he documented some of the most significant moments and events of the modern era, including presidential inaugurations, high-level military ceremonies, humanitarian missions, and wartime operations in active conflict zones. His work took him from the controlled precision of stateside military installations to the unpredictable reality of overseas deployments, where he captured images and stories that highlighted courage, sacrifice, resilience, and the human cost of global conflict. This period of Wesley’s life shaped not only his technical expertise in photography, communication strategy, and media relations, but also his understanding of how powerful real stories can be when they are told with honesty, empathy, and purpose.
Following his military service, Wesley continued building on his passion for communication by earning multiple academic degrees, including a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from American Military University, a Master of Fine Arts in Media Design with a specialization in Branding from Full Sail University, and a second Master of Science in Internet Marketing from the same institution. These academic achievements equipped him with a deep understanding of branding, visual identity, digital marketing, content development, organizational messaging, and the psychology of how audiences engage with stories. Wesley used these skills to help organizations—from ministries to startups to established businesses—communicate with clarity, authenticity, and visual excellence. His work as a photographer, designer, strategist, and creative consultant allowed him to blend technical proficiency with narrative craft, helping others articulate their message in compelling ways.
Wesley’s professional and academic success, however, is only part of his journey. His story is also shaped by a profound season of personal struggle and spiritual renewal. After years of battling pornography addiction, codependency, anger, and misplaced identity, Wesley reached a point where he believed his story was beyond redemption. These struggles, along with the shame and brokenness they created, led him into a period where he questioned his worth, his purpose, and whether God could still use him. Yet it was in this place of deep humility and honesty that Wesley encountered the transformative grace of God in a new way. Through intentional spiritual work, community support, accountability, counseling, and a renewed commitment to his faith, he experienced a life-changing transformation that realigned his identity with the truth of Scripture and reminded him that no life is too damaged for God to restore.
This journey of redemption and restoration became the foundation of his first book, The Blueprint of Becoming, which explores themes such as identity, calling, surrender, spiritual growth, and the belief that anyone can change the trajectory of their life through faith and intentional action. The book blends practical biblical teaching, personal testimony, and reflective exercises designed to help readers move from stagnation to transformation. It is an extension of Wesley’s mission to encourage people to see that they are not defined by their past and that God can redeem any story when we say “yes” to Him.
Today, Wesley speaks at churches, conferences, men’s events, recovery ministries, and leadership gatherings across the country, sharing messages that combine biblical teaching with authentic storytelling and practical tools for spiritual and personal growth. His speaking topics include overcoming adversity, breaking free from destructive patterns, discovering God-given purpose, living with integrity, and choosing faith when life feels uncertain. As a communicator, Wesley is known for his vulnerability, clarity, warmth, and ability to connect deeply with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
In addition to his speaking work, Wesley continues to serve as the founder and leader of Service Ministries, where he partners with pastors, ministry teams, and Christian nonprofits to improve their communication strategies, strengthen their brand identity, enhance their digital storytelling, and create systems that help them connect more effectively with the people they are called to serve. He also teaches communication, graphic design, and photography as an adjunct professor, equipping the next generation of creative professionals with both technical skill and a sense of purpose.
Through every facet of his work—writing, speaking, podcasting, teaching, and ministry leadership—Wesley remains committed to helping people see that transformation is possible and that hope is available. His life and message are built on the belief that God can rewrite any story with grace, purpose, and truth, and that the journey of becoming who God created us to be is one of the greatest adventures of faith.
